Principal Report

Thank You!
A big thank you to our parents, carers, and school community for attending our recent whole school assembly and open classrooms. Our students love sharing their learning with you, and your support is greatly appreciated.

SRC Careers Day
The newly elected SRC has been busy planning a Careers Day, where students can come dressed as what they want to be when they grow up. This will be held on Thursday, 3rd of April. We are also hoping to host a range of guest speakers in the afternoon to inspire students and spark their curiosity about different career pathways. Our school community is our greatest resource—if you have insights or experiences to share, please get in touch!

NAPLAN Testing
Students are currently undertaking NAPLAN testing and have shown great resilience and determination. NAPLAN provides a snapshot of student understanding on one day, but our teachers use multiple sources of evidence to assess learning and target their teaching to support student growth.

Seesaw Update
Seesaw is now back up and running after some technical issues at the start of the year. It’s a great way to stay connected to your child’s class and keep up to date with their learning. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to connect and be part of the journey!

North West Athletics Carnival Success

Congratulations to all the students who represented our school at the North West Athletics Carnival last week. Your hard work, determination, and sportsmanship were outstanding, and we are incredibly proud of your efforts. A special mention to those who placed in the finals and went on to compete at the Twilight Carnival last night—an incredible achievement! Well done to all involved, and thank you for representing our school with such pride.

Grade 6 Camp

Our Grade 6 students are heading off on their camp on Monday, 24th March! This is an exciting opportunity filled with an action-packed itinerary, including activities in both Hobart and Launceston. For many students, this will be the longest time they have spent away from their families, but they are sure to have a fantastic experience with their peers and teachers. This is a special milestone and something every student in our school can look forward to in the future! We can't wait to hear all about their adventures when they return!
